These Terms govern your use of LectiGuide™, operated by LectiGuide Inc. By using LectiGuide you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Description of Service

LectiGuide is an AI-powered academic study tool designed for healthcare students. The service generates study guides, practice questions, and clinical education materials from user-uploaded content including lecture recordings, course slides, and learning objectives.

LectiGuide is a supplemental educational tool. It does not replace the judgment of licensed healthcare professionals, clinical instructors, or program faculty. All clinical information generated by LectiGuide should be verified against authoritative sources and your program's curriculum.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use LectiGuide. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms. LectiGuide is designed for enrolled students in accredited healthcare education programs and licensed healthcare professionals.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

You must create an account to access LectiGuide. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@lectiguide.com if you become aware of unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to maintain account security.

3.3 One Account Per User

Each user may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts.

You retain ownership of all content you upload to LectiGuide. By uploading content, you grant LectiGuide a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store that content solely to provide the service to you.

LectiGuide complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on LectiGuide infringes your copyright, submit a written notice to hello@lectiguide.com including identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, and your signature.

6. AI-Generated Content

6.1 Nature of AI Outputs

LectiGuide uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. All clinical information should be verified against authoritative sources.

6.2 Not Medical Advice

LectiGuide is an educational tool only. Nothing generated by LectiGuide constitutes medical advice or a substitute for professional clinical judgment. Do not use LectiGuide-generated content to make clinical decisions for patients.

6.3 Academic Integrity

Use of LectiGuide must comply with your institution's academic integrity policies. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with your program's policies.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

7.1 Plans

LectiGuide offers free and paid subscription tiers including Daily Pass ($6.99), Weekly Pass ($14.99), Pro Monthly ($39.99/month), and Full Year Pro ($249/year). Current pricing is available at lectiguide.com.

7.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize LectiGuide to charge your payment method for applicable fees. All fees are in US dollars.

7.3 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

7.4 Price Changes

We will provide at least 30 days notice before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers.

8. Institutional Accounts

Educational institutions that purchase institutional access agreements are subject to the terms of their service agreement in addition to these Terms. LectiGuide maintains FERPA-compliant data handling practices for institutional accounts. A Data Processing Agreement is available upon request at hello@lectiguide.com.

9. Intellectual Property

LectiGuide and its content, features, and functionality are owned by LectiGuide Inc. and protected by US and international intellectual property laws. LectiGuide™ is a trademark of LectiGuide Inc. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use LectiGuide for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

10. Privacy

Your use of LectiGuide is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Disclaimers

LECTIGUIDE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LECTIGUIDE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. AI-GENERATED CONTENT IS PROVIDED FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND MAY CONTAIN ERRORS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LECTIGUIDE INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LECTIGUIDE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LectiGuide Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your use of LectiGuide, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under American Arbitration Association rules. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
